Bio
Justin Morgan, DO, is a family medicine physician with Orlando Health Medical Group FHV Health. He emphasizes whole-person health with a focus on prevention. From toddlers to seniors, Dr. Morgan provides a full range of care for each member of the family, including wellness checks and treatment for routine illnesses and injuries plus acute and chronic disorders and diseases. Areas of special interest include osteopathic manipulative treatment, joint injections, and nutritional assessment and treatment.
Osteopathic Medicine
As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Morgan has received special training in the musculoskeletal system, the body’s network of nerves, muscles and bones, and how it interconnects and relates to the body’s other systems and overall health.
As part of his care, Dr. Morgan carefully accounts for the many aspects of a patient’s life such as environment, lifestyle, stress, nutrition, fitness and other medical problems. With this broad view, he is able to look at whole-body health, not just symptoms, to uncover and address all factors contributing to a patient’s injury or illness.
Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment
In combination with other medical diagnostic and treatment procedures, osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) enables Dr. Morgan to diagnose and treat injuries and illness with a series of hands on techniques involving stretching, massaging and moving the musculoskeletal system. Based on the condition, OMT may alleviate the need for medication or surgery.
Nutritional Assessment and Treatment
When dietary health may be impacting a patient’s overall well-being, a nutritional assessment will determine whether the body is receiving the nutrients necessary to function properly. If nutrition is a factor, Dr. Morgan will create a treatment plan to help patients understand and improve their relationship with food and progress toward a healthier lifestyle.
Dr. Morgan’s Training
Dr. Morgan earned his doctor of osteopathy degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He completed his residency in family medicine at Lakeside Medical Center in Belle Glade, where he served as chief resident.
