Bio
Dr. Neeraj Desai is a double-board-certified maternal fetal care physician with the Orlando Health Women’s Institute Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine. He works with women whose pregnancies are complicated by maternal medical problems such as diabetes, hypertension and autoimmune disease or by fetal congenital diseases. His expertise includes:
- Amniocentesis
- Chorionic villus sampling
- Diabetic and nutritional counseling
- Fetal echocardiogram
- First-trimester screening
- Genetic counseling
- Sonography
- Ultrasound
With more than 14 years of experience at Orlando Health, Dr. Desai strives to deliver the highest quality care to each of his patients during pregnancy.
Dr. Desai’s Training
Dr. Desai earned his medical degree from the University of California at San Diego. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he served as chief resident in his final year. He completed a maternal fetal medicine fellowship at Hofstra University / Northwell Health in New York.

Dr. Desai is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
An active faculty member, Dr. Desai teaches medical students and has been published in numerous medical journals. He has presented his research at national conferences, including the prestigious plenary sessions for the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Society for Gynecological Investigation.
