| Ira J. Goodman, MD |

Dr. Goodman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology magna cum laude at Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania with honors in anatomy, neuron-anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and clinical neurology.
Dr. Goodman has served as an attending physician in neurology in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Orlando Regional Medical Center. His experience also includes private practice serving adult neurology. He is an associate clinical professor for the University of Florida School of Medicine in the departments of Neurology and Medicine, is on teaching faculty of Florida State University School of Medicine, and has been invited to participate in the development of the neuroscience program for the University of Central Florida School of Medicine.
Dr. Goodman is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Florida Neurologic Association. He has received honors as the “Top Neurologist in Central Florida” for seven consecutive years in Orlando Magazine. He received the “Attending Physician of the Year” award twice and was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to serve on the Advisory Council on Impaired Drivers and was recently appointed to be the Neurologist on the Medical Advisory Board to the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles/Highway Safety.

Umesh K. Sharma, M.D. recently joined the Neurology Faculty Practice and Medical Education at Orlando Regional Medical Center, part of Orlando Health. Dr. Shama has completed a Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology in Epilepsy and Sleep Medicine at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor.
In addition to practicing Neurology, Dr. Sharma specializes in diagnosis and treatment of seizure disorders in adult and pediatric patient populations as well as pre-surgical workups for the epilepsy patients that are refractory to medical treatment. He is the Director of the Epilepsy Program, which includes two high tech monitoring rooms located at Lucerne Pavilion, part of Orlando Health.
Dr. Sharma will also be involved with teaching medical students and residents in the Graduate Medical Education program.
He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Sawai Man Singh Medical College in Jaipur, India. He completed his internship training at Wyckoff Heights Medical College in Brooklyn, NY and he completed a residency at Ohio State University in Columbus, followed by his Fellowship training at the University of Michigan, where he received a faculty appointment as a Clinical Lecturer. He has been involved in clinical research in Epilepsy, Sleep Disorders, Cognitive Neurology and Clinical Pharmacology. He has multiple publications in scientific journals and contributed a book chapter on TIA (transient ischemic attacks). He was born and raised in India and is fluent in Hindi.

Julio Rodriguez, MD is part of the Neurology Faculty Practice at Orlando Regional Medical Center, a part of Orlando Health and provides general neurological services and stroke management. Specializing in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular attacks (stroke), Dr. Rodriguez is well-versed in the latest research on stroke and stroke prevention.
Dr. Rodriguez graduated from the University of Puerto Rico and completed an internship at the San Juan Bautista Medical Center. He served his residency in neurology at the University of South Florida where he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for his involvement in the Stroke Program. He also completed a fellowship in vascular neurology at the University of Florida. Dr. Rodriguez has a keen interest in stroke prevention and risk factor modification. He has been involved in stroke research and has been a featured speaker at several community events. He speaks both English and Spanish and is a member of several professional organizations.
